Aftertreatment Service
Emission systems are constantly innovating- Some older diesels used an Exhaust Gas Recrculation (EGR) to lower cylinder combustion temperatures as a primary emission control implement. For 2008 model years, The Diesel Particulate Filter (DPF) became standard equipment added to the exhaust pipe of all road diesels to capture and burn off particulate matter. Shortly after, an additional Diesel Oxide Catalyst (DOC) and Selective Catalyst Reduction (SCR) systems were introduced. The SCR system also consumes a urea/water-based fluid known as Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) or AdBlue.

With each modern diesel now sporting at a minimum an EGR, DOC, DPF, SCR and all the injectors, coolers, and sensors associated with them- These systems have become reasonably complex. While they serve a purpose to reduce emission output, They arent necessarily complimentary to the high longevity and power output the Diesel engine is capable of. For example, recirculated exhaust from the EGR system introduces carbon and soot through the intake, which can cause restriction in the manifold and valves over time.
Proper maintenance is crucial for reliability! Trucks with factory programming will "De-Rate", or even disable starting when a problem with the emission system is recognised. This can be very inconvinient and frustrating.

(I.E an early compression check on a misfire diagnostic can save hassle of replacing expensive ignition coils and wasting time chasing other parts on a dead cylinder as an example we see far too often.)

Advanced Programming Solutions
Modern vehicles depend on advanced electronic management, Delegated through numerous individual control modules which communicate together through a "Controller Area Network" system.
Network issues, or failed modules can cause an array of problems, and can be difficult to diagnose. Luckily, We have the expertise and the tools to work through, diagnose, and repair complex electronic problems.
Plenty of these modules will require configuration programming in order to function correctly when replaced. We're invested in the equipment necessary to allow us to program most common modules in house!
We also have access to work on Secured Gateway Access 2017+ Chrysler/Dodge vehicles using AutoAuth. Allowing us to do diagnostics, programming, and service on these platforms which is typically locked on most non-dealer OBD2 tools.
Brake, Oil, And even some filter resets will require specialty tools on the newest of vehicles. As well as many Piezoelectric Direct Fuel Injectors found commonly in diesel and many modern gasoline vehicles require fuel trim calibration when replaced, We specialize in these services and can reset and program these components in house!
